R&D

CEMOSA has always encouraged the knowledge, innovation and technology. As result of the CEMOSA’s commitment in the R&D activities, the company establishes in 2007 a specific department of Research, Technology Development and Innovation with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the company and provide a more specialist service.

This area is formed by PhDs and engineers full time, and also has the support of technicians from other departments of the company.

CEMOSA has participated in R&D projects since its inception in the 1970’s and 1980’s. However, the volume of R&D projects has increased significantly since the creation of a specific department.

The commitment to the continued improvement, seen from a responsible perspective, has been recognized and valued with funds from Public Administrations: European Union (Seventh Framework Programme and H2020 programme), Spanish Government (CDTI, Ministry of Industry) and Regional Government (IDEA Agency). Others projects have been funded by customers or by the company.

Standard UNE 166002:2021

Moreover, CEMOSA has UNE 166002:2021 “R&D&i management: R&D&i management system requirements”, since 2009. AENOR certifies CEMOSA for performing Research, Development and Innovation in:

  • Digitalisation and Data Analysis: Digital Twin, condition assessment and forecasting, aspects related to user behaviour and user experience.
  • Transport Infrastructures and Mobility: Design, construction, operation, maintenance, decommissioning oriented towards an enhanced resilience of transport systems.
  • Energy and Buildings: Control systems and energy efficiency, smart grids and smart cities, energy communities.
  • Circularity and Sustainability: Materials technologies, environmental technologies and sustainability assessment.
